161 complexion with small scar on left thumb Filed recorded & Certificate issued April 5th 1860 By Jesse K Hines, Clerk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a negro man now present and applying for a certificate of freedom named Horace Miller is the identical negro by that name to whom a pass was Granted April 20 1846 and who has lost the same I further certify that he was born free and raised in Kent County and is about 46 years old April 5 1860 R Hynson Horace is 5 ft 5 in high black complexion with a small scar near the left eye and two small ones on the left forefinger Filed recorded & Certificate issued Apl 5 1860 By Jesse K Hines Clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a Negro woman now present and applying for a certificate of freedom named Martha Thompson aged about 36 years is the Identical negro mentioned in a manumission from G W Thomas Exer of William Thomas to sundry negroes she being named or called therin Patty the daughter of Harriett said manumission was made in 1828 and recorded in Liber T W No 4 page 843 said Girl was raised in Kent County April 7 1860 Geo W T Perkins Martha is 5 ft 3 inches dark complexion with a small scar over the left eye Filed recorded & Certificate issued alpril 7 1860 By Jesse K Hines, Clerk |
