Born in Baltimore, Maryland, October 18, 1931. Attended Kenwood High School, Baltimore County; University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, B.S., 1957; St. John's University, New York, pharmaceutical chemistry. Married, Jeanne Baker, 1964; three children.
