    Report to County Executive, County Council, County Board of Education, Interagency Commission on School Construction, & Frederick County House & Senate Delegations due Dec. 31, 2024 (Chapter 350, Acts of 2024).

    In June 2024, the Frederick County School Construction Master Plan Workgroup was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapter 350, Acts of 2024).

    Based on its review of the 2023 update to the Educational Facilities Master Plan, the Workgroup charge was to evaluate all school facility needs in the Frederick County Public Schools portfolio. It explored and evaluated solutions to balance the fiscal demands of the educational needs of the County's school construction priorities. To better meet educational needs, the Workgroup also considered cost-saving or cost-sharing opportunities for Frederick County to fund and afford new school projects, maintain existing buildings, or renovate aging schools.

    Ten members constituted the Workgroup.

    Authorization for the Workgroup ended June 30, 2025.
