In October 2026, the Off–Highway Recreational Vehicle Recreation Oversight Board was authorized by the General Assembly (Chapter 180, Acts of 2026).

The Board advises the Secretary of Natural Resources on the operation, acquisition, regulation, and general oversight of off–highway recreational vehicle trails and recreation in Maryland.

Appointed by the Governor to four-year terms, the Board consists of five members. The Board chooses the Chair (Code Natural Resources Article, secs. 5-1011.1).
