Board of Directors, Maryland Association of Counties, 2010-13 (legislative committee, 2011-13). Member, Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines/Ocean City. Past president, Board of Directors, Ocean Pines Association. Maryland's Top 100 Women, Daily Record, 2005. Woman of the Year, Commission for Women, Worcester County, 2020. Widow; three children, four grandchildren. Died in Ocean Pines, Maryland, June 12, 2021.
