being generally made on the pressing Instances of the Com-
mittees or those who had the immediate Care of the Prisoners.
We send also a Bundle of Vouchers but you'll observe that
there are none for a Part of the Account. Those Articles
were long ago allowed on proper Vouchers and the Money
actually paid but the Vouchers are mislaid. Be pleased to
present the Account and the Vouchers we send before the
15th that this State may not forfeit its Claims. The Commis-
sions &ca for Privateers sent hither are all used, they are
frequently taken rather with a View to ascertain the Property
and prevent their being taken by Privateers under Pretences
of Suspicion, as has been the Case in some Instances, notwith-
standing regular Clearances, than any Expectation of making
Captures. We therefore request you'll have a Supply of
Commissions &ca sent us by the first Opportunity

Present as on yesterday —
Zadock Soaper, Richard Hoggins, Ignatius Hagan, Basil
Nott John Kelly of Montgomery County Andrew Davidson
of Baltimore County William Watson of Prince Georges
County; James Bonnedy, Joshua Carroll and John Todd of
Ann Arundel County took the Oath of Fidelity and Support
to this State and Richard Watters of Montgomery County
took the Affirmation according to the late Act and Certificates
given
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to John
Chalmers Sundry Cloathing for Capt. Eccleston, Lieut Wool-
ford of the second Regt & himself vide List.
That the said Commissary of Stores Pack up forty Blankets,
and send them on board the Dolphin Capt. Ricd Bryan, to be
delivered to George Keeports in Balto.
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to James Boyle
of the Galley Baltimore, 40 pair Shoes, 10 Shirts, 20 Coarse
do 20 check Do or check to make them, 50 yds Oznd 4 1/2 yds
black serge Denim, 1/2 yd Buff cloth 12 yds russia Drab, 3 yds
Stript Holland & 4 1/2 yds red Cloth with Thread and Trim-
mings
That the said Commissary of Stores Deliver to Edwd
Edgerly Adgt of 2d Regt 1 Coatee, 1 Jacket,1 pr Breeches,
2 Shirts, 1 pr Shoes 2 pr Stockgs & 1 Blanket for James Miller
a Recruit
