Commission Issued to Aquila Hall, Aquila Paca, John Love,
Alexander Cowen & John Rumsey appointed Justices of the
Orphans Court for Harford County
Whereas by a Deposition lodged in Council that John
Schriver and John Cromwell both of Ann Arundel County,
have dissuaded and advised a certain Elijah Robinson Junr
from taking the Oath of Fidelity and Support to this State
according to the Act of Assembly in such case made and
Provided which Conduct of the said John Schriver and John
Cromwell appear to this Board to be inimical to the cause of
America and is a good Ground to believe their going at large
may be dangerous to the safety of this State. Wherefore it
is Ordered that the Sheriff of Ann Arundel County take the
aforesaid John Schriver and John Cromwell, if in his County
and their Bodies have before the Governor and Council at
Annapolis immediately to Answer the Premises and further that
the said Sheriff summon the aforesaid Elijah Robinson Junr
to appear before the Governor and Council immediately at
Annapolis to testify the truth of his Knowledge concerning
the Premises
Zephaniah Turner Esqr of Charles County appointed Aud-
itor General by the Assembly in the room of Colo Stone
who has resigned, Qualified in Presence of the Governor and
Council by taking the several Oaths directed in the Resolve
and giving Bond with Thomas Semmes & Alex McPherson
Securities for the faithful Performance of his Duty

In Council Annapolis 11th April 1778.
Sir
We have drawn 360 Dollars for Lieut Allison to Discharge
the bounty of the six Recruits. The money sent by Congress
is expended and our Treasury will not bear an advance. We
have wrote to Congress for more Money, but unless Gent will

pay in their Assessments, by which the Recruiting Service has
been carried on in this County, we do not see how it will be
possible to carry on the Business. We shall send up a Few
Blankets to Mr Keeports. From his Letter, and Colo Smith's
taking 80 of the 100 Blankets sent to Baltimore the other
Day, we suspect the Colo has taken two to a Man, but we
expect, if that is the Case, they'll be returned. Every Gent
in the Army must know that we shall be very lucky if we can
get one Blanket for each Man and it would be an inexcusable
Partiality in us to furnish some with two Blankets and as many
with none. It is necessary that we should be furnished with
