That the said Treasurer Pay to Capt. James Peale five
hundred Dollars out of the money remitted by Congress for
the recruiting Service to be charged to the first Maryland
Regiment, per Colo Stones Order.
That the said Treasurer Pay to Colo Mord. Gist two
thousand Dollars out of the money remitted by Congress for
the recruiting Service on Account to be charged to the 3d
Regiment.
That the said Treasurer Pay to Capt. James Peale five
Pounds ten shillings for the use of Daniel Simons per Acc!
passed by the A Genl
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Colo
Gist One hundred & twenty six Pounds to be delivered over
to Richard Coughlan for twenty one recruits enlisted by him
for the third Regiment per Acct passed by the A Genl

Wednesday 6 May 1778

Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Lieut
Charles Bevan four hundred & eighty Dollars out of the
money remitted by Congress for the Recruiting Service on
Accot to be charged to the 6 Regiment p G. Smallds Order
That the said Treasurer Pay to Frederick Green five
hundred and twenty nine Pounds thirteen Shillings & nine
Pence due him per Acct passed A. G.
That the said Treasurer Pay to Isaac Harris one hundred
& fifty five Pounds due to him per Account passed by the
Aud. General.
That Capt Campbell deliver to Capt. Murrow 25lb Powder
to be sent to Richard Bond Head of Elk
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Vachel Burgess
of the Ist Regiment, Cloth sufficient for a Coat & Waistcoat
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to James
Stewart of the Galley Conqueror Cloth for a Coat Waistcoat
& Pair of Breeches with Trimings & Linnen for two Shirts.
Elie Vallette appointed Principal Clerk to the Auditor
General qualified before the Council by taking the Several
Oaths required

One of our Boats goes up with Soldiers, by her you may
send down what Gun Barrels you have ready. We have sent
you 25lb Powder. Your Accc is with the Auditor Genl when
