Monday Morning June 30th 1746
The House met According to Adjournment, and the proceeding
of Saturday were read: all members being present as on Saturday,
except Mr John Gresham, Mr Richard Gresham, and Col. Hall
Mr Pemberton, a member returned for Queen Ann's County ap-
pears in the House
Mr Hopper and Mr Tilghman are sent with Mr Pemberton to the
Upper House to see him Qualified: They return and acquaint Mr
Speaker they saw him qualified in the usual manner.

The Gentleman takes his seat in the House
The Bill entituled, An Act for raising Four Pence Sterling per
Hogshead on all Tobacco to be exported for purchasing Arms and
Ammunition; and for an immediate Supply of Arms, for the Defence
of this province, was sent to the Upper House by Mr Lloyd and
Doctor Buchanan
The Bill entituled An Act for the easier and better securing the
Estates of Debtors absconding, and of Persons Bankrupt for the
use of their Creditors, and equal Distribution of the same, was read
the second Time, passed, and sent to the Upper House by Mr Joseph
Hall and Col. Scarborough
Mr Wilkinson appears in the House. Ordered, That the lournal of
Accots be closed to Wednesday next: And Resolved, that this House
will not Proceed to any new Business after that Day.
The House adjourns 'til 2 of the Clock

The House met according to adjournment. The House having
Considered the Report from the Committee appointed to inspect the
office and Proceedings of the Commissrs of the Paper Currency office,
Resolved, That it is the Duty of the Trustees in London to trans-
mit, to the Commissrs or Trustees for emitting Bills of Credit estab-
lished by Act of Assembly, Yearly with their Accounts, proper and
