Authentic Testimonials from the Bank of England of the Entries
and Transfers there made to the use of this Province by virtue of
An Act of Assembly entituled, An Act for emitting and making
Currant ninety Thousand Pounds Currant Money of Maryland in
Bills of Credit. And Ordered, That the said Commissrs write to the
said Trustees to transmit such Testimonials Yearly: And that the
Clerk of this House make a Copy of the above Resolve and order
and deliver the same to the said Commissrs Ordered, That the Com-
mittee of Accounts do enquire for the Bonds entered into by Robert
Ungle Esqr formerly Treasurer of the Eastern Shore for the due
Execution of his office; and what money stands charged in the said
Ungles Accounts as paid by him to Richard Bennett Esqr in the
Year 1720; and make report thereof to the House. On motion of a
member, Leave is given to bring in A Supplementary Bill to the Act
entituled, An Act for laying out the Town a-new commonly called
Upper Marlborough Town in Prince George's County. Mr Lloyd
delivers Mr Speaker An Address to the Governor, which was read
approved of, and ordered to be ingrossed
The following ingrossed Address to the Governor being read And
Assented to, was ordered, on behalf of the House, to Be signed by
the Honourable Speaker, Viz. To his Excellency Thomas Bladen
Esqr Governor of Maryland
The humble address of the House of Delegates.
May it please Your Excellency
The Duty we owe to our Constituents lays us under the necessity
of reiterating the Request of former Assemblies to your Excellency,
that you will be pleased to order the several Naval officers within
this Province to make out exact Copies of the Instructions by which
they are empower'd, to collect the 14d per Tun on all foreigne Bot-
toms, and also the 12d Sterling pr Hogshead on all Tobacco exported,
and the Amount of the same sums respectively for Seven Years pre-

ceding the 29th of September last, proved by them and in the fullest
manner, authenticated by Yr Excellency which Copies, with Dupli-
cates thereof which (will not be improper in these perilous Times)
we desire may be delivered to Mr Philip Hammond, Doctor Charles
Carroll, Mr Thomas Worthington, Maj. Henry Hall, or any of
them, for the use of the House of Delegates, who will not fail readily
to answer Any reasonable Fees or Charges that may Attend the mak-
ing out such Copies, and duly Authenticating the same
The Amount of the 12d per Hogshead and the Tunnage are what
our Council Advises and Sollicitor writes for. And what we judge
essentially necessary for the service of this province in Carrying on
the unhappy Dispute subsisting between the Proprietary and People,
which Dispute we shall endeavour to bring to a final Determination
as speedily as possible: for until fair Hearing and Decision thereof
