Ordered, That the Committee of Accounts do enquire, whether suits
have been commenced against Benjamin Bradford late Sheriff of
Cecil County, Dr Richard Porter late Sheriff of Talbot County, and
Edward Trippe late Sheriff of Dorchester County, in Consequence
of an Address of the Lower House of Assembly in August Session
1745 to the Governor for that purpose, and that they make report
thereof to this House

The House met according to Adjournment. The following in-
grossed address to his Excellency being read and Assented to, was
ordered, on behalf of the House, to be signed by the Honourable
Speaker, Viz.
To His Excellency Thomas Bladen Esqr Governor of Maryland
The humble Address of the House of Delegates
May it please yr Excellency
It appearing to this House, that the sum of one hundred Eighty
seven Pounds, thirteen Shillings and six Pence, sterling, remains
due to the Public of this Province, from Robert Ungle Esqr late
Treasurer of the Eastern Shore, and which of Right ought long
since to have been paid. And in as much as the said Robert Ungle
passed a Bond with Edward Scott of Kent County, and Thomas
Robins of Talbot County Sureties, in a penalty to her late Majesty
Queen Anne, for the due Discharge of his Duty as Treasurer afore-
said, and payment of such Moneys as should by him be received for
the Public.
We therefore pray that your Excellency will give orders, that the
said Bond be put in suit against the said Sureties, their Executors
or Administrators, in such manner, as that the said money may be
recovered for the Use of the Public of this Province And whereas
a Ballance Appears due, from Philip Lee Esqr late Naval officer of
North Potomack District, unto the Public; we likewise request your
Excellency will order the Attorney General to sue his the said Lee's
Bond for Discharge of his Duty in the office aforesaid, whereby the
Public may have such Ballance duly paid. Col. King and Mr Bond
ordered to acquaint the Governor, that this House hath Prepared an
Address to him, and desires to know when and where he will be
pleased to receive it. They returned and Acquaint Mr Speaker his
Excellency will be ready immediately to receive it the Conference
Chamber
The same Gentlemen sent to present the Address. They return
and Acquaint Mr Speaker they have presented it. Edmund Jennings
Esqr from the Upper House, delivers Mr Speaker the Bill entituled,
An Act for the Trial of all matters of Fact in the several Counties
