be had, we cannot promise to ourselves that Harmony and good
understanding between the several Branches of this Legislature which
we always have sincerely desired, and still most ardently wish should
subsist and take place in it's highest Perfection we propose nothing
in this Matter but what is fair and honest, and hope our Endeavours,
to exhibit our lust complaints in a true and proper Light, will not
meet with Any obstruction from yr Excellency but that you will Act
herein with such Tenderness towards the People of this Province as
that, they may not have room to say, you have denied them the
proper means of Redress
Mr Stoughton and Mr Dulany ordered to Acquaint His Excel-
lency, that this House hath prepared an Address to him, and desires
to know when and where he will be pleased to receive it They re-
turn and Acquaint Mr Speaker His Excellency will be ready to re-
ceive it immediately in the Conference Chamber The same Gentlemen
sent to present the address.
They return and Acquaint Mr Speaker they have presented it
Col. King from the Committee of Accounts, lays before the House
the bond entered into by Robert Ungle Esqr formerly Treasurer of
the Eastern Shore, with his Sureties Thomas Robins and Edward
Scott, in the year 1714, for the Execution of his office; which being
read and considered
Resolved, That this House will Address His Excellency to order
the Attorney General to put the said Bond in suit immediately; and
Ordered, that the Committee of Laws prepare and bring in an ad-
dress Accordingly.
The House Adjourns 'til To-morrow Morning 9 of the Clock

July 1

Tuesday Morning July 1st 1746.

The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read
Mr John Gresham and Mr Richard Gresham appear in the House.
Resolved, That this House address the Governor to order the
Attorney General to sue the Bond entered into by Philip Lee Esqr
late Naval officer of north Potomack District, for the due Perform-

ance of his office: And Ordered, That the Committee of Laws make
it part of the Address to his Excellency for the ordering Mr Ungles
Treasurer's Bond to be sued
The Bill entituled, An Act to divide Prince George's County, and
to erect a new one by the name of Frederick County, was read the
second time, passed, and sent to the Upper House by Mr Stoddert
and Mr Addison
Mr Philip Hammond delivers Mr Speaker an address to the Gov-
ernor which was read, Approved of, and ordered to be ingrossed.
