meant shall from time to time and at all times hereafter as often as
Occasion shall require have full Power & Authority to Collect and
dispose of all and singular the Estate both real and personal within
this Province of all Persons so absconding flying from Justice be-
come bankrupt or stop and refuse Payment in manner aforesaid or
run a way: as also Collect the Debt Due to such Persons so ab-
sconding or becomeing Bankrupt as aforesaid and to all Intents and
Purposes sue and implead, and Execution cause to be made on the
Person and Estate of the Debtors of such Runaway Bankrupts, or
Persons Stoping and refusing Payment in manner Aforesaid, in as
full and ample manner as the Person Absconding or being Bankrupt
might do if Present. And the Commissrs in all such Cases Appointed
And nominated are hereby empowered and directed to take all the
Estate, both real and personal of such person absconded, fled, run-
away, become Bankrupt, or stop or refuse Payms in manner as afore-
said, into their Care and Custody, And immediately thereupon cause
Advertisements to be set up in the most Public Places, such as the
Churches, Court House, and other Public Places mostly frequented
within the County where such Person last resided, or in Cases of
Bankrupts or Persons stoping or refusing Payment as aforesaid, on
the Door of the Secretary's office in the City of Annapolis and in-

serted in the Public Gazettee of this Province, that such Commission
as aforesaid hath been to them granted, And that in case such Person
do not appear, or any Other on his behalf, and Answer the De-
mands of his Creditors that the Estate of such Person will, in
Twenty Days after the Date of such Advertisement, be exposed to
sale for the use of his Creditors
And be it likewise Enacted, That in case such Person absconding
becoming Bankrupt, or stopping and refusing Payment as aforesaid,
do not Appear, or any for him or her to satisfie the Creditors within
the Time aforesaid, it shall and may be lawful for such Commissrs
in Thirty Days after the Date of such Advertisement, to Proceed to
the sale of such Estate, and in all other respects collect the Debts due
to such Persons, and Distribution make among the Creditors of such
person or persons so absconded, become Bankrupt or stoping and re-
fusing payment, in manner as is herein before directed, they the said
Commissioners first causing notes to be set up as aforesaid giving
notice of the Sale of the Estate both real and Personal of such Person
so absconded, become Bankrupt, Stopping and refusing Payment in
manner as aforesaid, and the Time and Place where such 5ale shall
be made, Signed by such Commissioners
And be it further Enacted, That the Time of Sale of the Estate
of such Person Absconding, becoming Bankrupt, stoping and refus-
ing Payment in manner as aforesaid, shall not be in less than Thirty
Days after the Publication of the said first notice or Advertisement
and that at the place of sale the said Commiss" shall have a Clerk
