the prosecution. If your Excelly will order the prosecutions to be
remov'd to Anapolis I will attend with pleasure to stop if possible
this growing Evil, some Men of Considerable property are among
the plunderers. I left a List of Vacancies for my Regt of Militia,
which your Excelly order'd to be fill'd I shall be glad to have them
sent up I shall also be glad to have the specific Receipt for Virga
forwarded me, I wish to settle all my Business immy my Misfortunes
have been such as will oblige me I fear to go abroad in the Spring.
Unless your Excelly & the Honble the Council think me worthy to fill
the Post of Vendue Master for this Town, my absence on the Cato's
Business prevented my application sooner

I had the honour of Writing your Excellency a few days past
with samples of some Cloths, since Which I have not the pleasure
of hearing from you; the day after my last letter Genl Gist was
looking at the Cloths & stockings I wrote you of & highly approves
of them & Desired that I wd make use of his name on that head.
Which I had not until now an opportunity of doing; these goods are
very low charged & if you see fitt to Accept of them at my prices,
shall be glad to be favoured with an Answer; as some of them are
daily going off & tho the State Money is not yet become generaly
circulant I will Indeavour as far as I can to show how much I ap-
prove of it, by Accepting it in payment
