the office Afsd Well and Truly Served his Lordship in the office of High Sher-
riff of the County of Baltemore And Did in all things well and truly Execute
the same office And alsoe Did render to his Lordship and other the officers a
true faithfull and Perfect account of All and Singular his Lordships Rights
and Dues And to his officers A Just and True Account of their fees that he the
said Francis was Intrusted with by his said Lordship and other his officers
within this Province to receive and Collect And his Account to his Said Lord-
ship and his Governour for the fines and forfeitures and other Dues belong-
ing to his said Lordships Governour As also his Account for all fees Dues
and Summs of Money or Tobacco due to Any the People within this Prov-
ince of Maryland for all Sum and Summs of Money or Tobacco Wherewith
the said Francis Holland was Intrusted During the time of his Shreivalty for
that Present and to Such of them as Did Require the Same [840] Did pass
and Render by the Tenth Day of May then Ensueing the Date of the same
Writing Obligatory And in all things as Sherriff of the said Baltemore County
Did Behave himself well and Honestly to all Persons According to the best
of his skill and knowledge Vizt: in Baltemore County Aforest And this he the
said Roger is Ready to Verifie Wherefore he prays Judgment if the said Attor-
ney Genll for the Lord Propry his Action afsd Against him to have and Main-
tain Ought etc: And the Afsd Attorney Gen*! of the said Lord Propry saith
that by Any thing prealledged from Maintaining the Action afsd agt the afsd
Roger Mathews he Ought not to be Barred Because Protesting that the said
Francis Holland hath not Observed Performed fullfilled or kept Any of the
Articles Clauses or things in the Condition afsd Specified for Plea or Replica-
tion the same Attorney Generall for the afsd Lord Propry Nevertheless saith
that the same Francis Holland was and Continued High Sherriff of Baltemore
County Afsd from the said Eighth Day of June Anno Dom: Seventeen Hun-
dred Twenty and One Untill the Eighth day of November Anno Dom: Seven-
teen Hundred Twenty and two at Baltemore County afsd And that on the first
Day of August Anno Dom: Seventeen Hundred and Seventeen the afsd
Thomas Bordley Esqr Was and Ever after Untill the fourteenth day of Sep-
tember Anno Dom: Seventeen Hundred twenty and One hath Continued one
of the said Lord Propry his officers To Witt Commissary Genll for this Prov-
ince of Maryland To Witt at Baltemore County Afsd (The same Thomas
Bordley thereon the afsd first Day of August Anno Dom: Seventeen Hundred
and Seventeen being Lawfully Constituted and Admitted Comissary Genll of
the Same Province) and the afsd attorney Genll further saith That there
Arose and became Due to the said Thomas Bordley by Virtue of his office of
Commissary Genll Afsd on the twenty fourth Day of December Anno Dom:
Seventeen Hundred Twenty and One at the County afsd Sundry fees Amount-
ing to the Sum of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety and Six
Pounds of Tobacco from Sundry Persons then living in Baltemore County
afsd, Which sum of Tobacco by the same Thomas Bordley, The said Francis
