Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, reported without amendment the bill amending the Western Maryland Railroad company; Which was read the second time. The bill amending the Code relating to the violation of the Sabbath; Was read the third third time and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. On motion of Mr. Billingslea, of Carroll, Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that had the Senator from Carroll, been present when the bill allowing persons, without distinction of race or color, to give evidence in any court or before a justice of the peace, was laid upon the table, lie would have voted in the negative. A communication was received from His Excellency Gov- ernor Swann; Endorsed "on Executive Business." The bill incorporating the Washington County Manufac- turing and Improvement company; Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
