on the Judiciary.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the claims of Thos. K. Robson and others, for print-
ing the Governor's proclamation and the laws of Maryland ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 68 and 76
of Article 26 of the Code of Public General Laws of the
State of Maryland, entitled, "Corporations," and re-enact
the same with amendments ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to alter and amend the Act
incorporating the Maryland Institute for the promotion of
the Mechanic's Arts, passed December session, 1849, so as
to allow said Institute to hold annual, biennial and triennial
exhibitions or fairs for articles of American manufacture ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Education.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to to pay Cushing & Bailey,
J. E. & G, Monroe and Thomas A. MaKibbin ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to add an additional Article
to the Code of Public General Laws, entitled, "Sale of Agri-
cultural products ;"

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Industrial Agency, and to aid railroad companies, farmers,
planters, manufacturers and others to obtain loans and
advances of money and of credits upon more favorable terms
than such loans and credits are usually given by banks ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to make valid indentures and
contracts of apprenticeship, executed since the first day of
January, 1855 ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also returned the bill entitled, an Act to add to
Article 91 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled,
"Sureties," an additional section providing for the better
protection of the same ;
