Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Also, delivered, Joint Resolutions relating to the powers
and policy of the Federal Government ;

Which "were read a first time.

Also, returned a bill entitled, an Act to amend the Act of
1860, chapter 303, entitled, an Act to carry into effect the
8th section of the Act entitled, an Act for the promotion of
Internal Improvements, passed at the December session,
1835, chapter 395, by applying the unappropriated part of
the appropriation made by said Act for the purpose of inter-
nal improvements in Worcester county, in the construction
of the Worcester Railroad and the Wicomico and Pocomoke
Railroad ;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ment."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by inserting in 6th line, section 1, after the word
"dollars," "Provided that said thirty-five thousand dollars
shall be expended pro rata on each mile of said road between
the town of Berlin and the Virginia State line ;"

Senate amendment concurred in, and the bill, as amended
passed by yeas and nays as follow :
