Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably, without amendment the Senate bill enti-
tled, an Act to repeal sections 5 and 8 of the Act passed at
the January session, 1864, chapter 15, entitled an Act to
aid and encourage enlistments into the Maryland regiments
in service of the United States, and also to repeal sections 4
and 5 of the Act passed at the January session, 1865, chapter
38, entitled an Act to provide bounty for soldiers entering
the service of the United States, to fill the quotas of Mary-
land under the call of the President of the United States of
December, 1864, and under future calls;
Which was read a second time;
Mr. Clarke, from majority of Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act entitled an
to incorporate the Charles Street Avenue Company.
Also, unfavorably, upon the Senate bill entitled, an Act to
restrict swine from running at large in the twelfth district in
Baltimore county.
Mr. McCulloh, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, without amendment, the Senate bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Maryland Industrial Agency; and to
aid railroad companies, farmers, planters, manufacturers, and
others, to obtain loans and advances of money upon more
favorable terms than such loans and credits are usually given
by banks;
Which, the rules being suspended,
Was read a second time.
On motion of Mr. Phelps,
The rules being suspended,
Ordered, that the general appropriation bills, and other
minor measures favorably reported on by the Committe of
Ways and Means, shall have precedence over all other busi-
ness during the present session of the Legislature.
Which was adopted;
On motion of Mr. Kerr,
The House resumed the consfderation of unfinished busi-
ness, being the report of the Committee on Printing, ordering
the printing of five hundred copies of the report of the Joiat
Commmittee on Federal Relations,
Mr. Knott moved to amend by striking out "five hundred"
and inserting "five thousand."
Mr. Davis, of Charles, proposed the following amendment:
Provided the cost for printing the same does not exceed one
hundred dollars.
