amendment:
Amend, after the word "dollars," in line 9, insert the
words "one thousand dollars" for the Aged Men and Women's
Homes;
Which was adopted.
Mr. Williams proposed the following amendment;
Section 1, title "Miscellaneous," after the word "dollars"
in line 13, insert "for office rent and expenses of office of the
Commissioner of Immigration, one thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary;
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second, and by

The House took up for consideration the Senate bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal chapter 129 of the Act of 1864, entitled
an Act to add additional sections to the 44th article of the
Code of Public General Lawn, title "Maryland Hospital,"
prescribing an additional oath to be taken by the President,
Vice President, and Visitors of said Hospital, and to reinstate
the former President, Vice President, and visitors of said
hospital in office,
