Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act to amend section 140, Arti-
cle 9, of the Code of Public Local Laws for Charles county,
title "Sheriff," by adding an additional clause to said sec-
tion,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Maddox, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to require all persons ped-
dling or selling carriages (not manufactured in this State,) in
Frederick county, to take out a license therefor, reported it
unfavorably,

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6,
of an Act passed January session, 1867, chapter 298, sub-
title an Act to incorporate the Pennsylvania Line Railroad
Company, and to re-enact the same with amendments, re-
ported it without amendments.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to add the following sub-
sections to Article 12, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Harford County," sub-title "Sheriff," to come in after sec-
tion 136, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.
