ferred House bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-
enact section 2, Article 33, of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to the education of the Deaf Mutes, reported
it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Henkle, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of
any license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, at
or within one mile of Holly Grove, in Baltimore county, and
to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating drinks within
the above described limits, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Jump, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 329 of the
Acts of 1868, entitled "Public Roads in Talbot and Caroline
Counties," reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Biggs, from the Select Committee, to whom was refer-
red House bill entitled an Act to enable Peter Leatherman
and George Leatherman to sell a certain piece of property
belonging to the Tunker Church, near Wolfsville, in Frede-
rick county, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 324 and
325 of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the town of
Williamsport, Washington county, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to provide for the re-
pairing the old jail of Harford county, or the building of a
new jail, at the discretion of the County Commissioners of
