and repealing Acts inconsistent therewith, reported it with
the following amendments:

And that the clerical force of the Senate shall be under the
supervision and control of the Secretary of the Senate, who
shall assign to them their respective duties and enforce the
proper performance of the same, and in case of the neglect or
improper performance of their duties by said officers, the
Secretary shall report the same to the President of the Senate;
and that the Doorkeepers, Folders, Page and Messenger shall
be under the supervision of, and control of the Sergeant-at-
Arma of the Senate.

And that the clerical force of the House of Delegates shall
be under the supervision and control of the Chief Clerk of the
House of Delegates, who shall assign to them their respective
duties and enforce the proper performance of the same, and
in case of the neglect or improper performance of their duties
by said officers, the Chief Clerk shall report the same to the
Speaker of the House of Delegates; and that the Doorkeepers,
Folders and Pages shall be under the supervision of, and con-
trol of the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Delegates.

In line 14, strike out the word "three," and insert: four.

In line 22, strike out the word "four," before the word
"dollars," and insert: five.

Inline 26, strike out the word "three," and insert the
word: four.

In line 43, strike out word "three," and insert: four.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Fields moved that said bill be read the third time this
day.
