CHAPTER 49.
|
|
|
AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and thirty-
eight, of Article six, title " Caroline County,"
sub-title " Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles," and to re-enact the following Section in
lieu thereof;
|

Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section one hundred and thirty-
eight, of Article six, title "Caroline County,"
sub-title " Justices of the Peace and Constables,"
be and the same is hereby repealed, and the follow-
ing section enacted in lieu thereof ;

Sec. 138. And be it enacted, That there shall be
the following number of Justices of the Peace and
Constables for Caroline County: For Election Dis-
trict number one, or Henderson District, one Jus-
tice of the Peace and one Constable; for Election
District number two, or Greensborough District,
one Justice of the Peace and one Constable; for
Election District number three, or Denton Dis-
trict, three Justices of the Peace and one Consta-
ble; for Election District number four, or Harmo-
ny District, two Justices of the Peace and one
Constable; and for Election District number five,
or Federalsborough District, two Justices of the
Peace and one Constable.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 50.
AN ACT to change the name of the Mutual Coal
Company of Allegany County, to that of the
Maryland Coal Company, and to confirm a de-
cree of the Circuit Court of Allegany County,
changing said name.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of the Mutual Coal
Company of Allegany County, incorporated by the
Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter
