brought in said Court, or in any other Court of
this State, in relation to the distribution, or appli-
cation of the revenues of said Canal Company.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in the event of
any such proceedings being instituted, or when
the State shall have been made a party defendant,
as herein provided, to any such proceedings, in
relation to such Canal Company, and any appeal
shall be taken by any party, from any judicial de-
termination, or decision in regard thereto, to the
Court of Appeals; the clerk of the court, from
which said appeal may be taken, is hereby required
forthwith to transmit the original papers in said
cause to the Court of Appeals, and the Judges of
the Court of Appeals, are hereby requested to hear
and determine the same, as speedily as practica-
ble, giving the said appeal priority, or precedence
as to the hearing thereof, over other causes.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That, in no event,
shall the State of Maryland be held liable for any
costs, that may accrue in this case, or in any other
case that may arise, under the provisions of this
Act.

AN ACT to incorporate the Antietam Rail Road
Company in Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John A. Ahl, William G.
Bradley, Daniel V. Ahl, Andrew K. Syester,
Charles Devland and Martin Eakle, be and they
are hereby appointed Commissioners, under the
direction of a majority of whom subscriptions may
be received to the Capital Stock of the Antietam
Bail Road Company, which is hereinafter incor-
porated; and that the said Commissioners, or a
majority of them, may cause books to be opened
