County; and the said sums of two hundred and
fifty dollars and one hundred and fifty dollars,
mentioned in the second Section of this Act as be-
longing to the Darlington Academy, and making
in the aggregate four hundred dollars, and which
was also paid annually, shall be paid to said Dar-
lington Academy in semi-annual payments of two

troller semi-annually to said Academies respect-
ively the sums of money herein directed to be paid

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 79.

 

AN ACT to incorporate the Miners' Bank of
Frostburg.

Incorporation

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas H. Paul, William
Devecmon, John M. Standish, Alonzo Chamber-
lin, A. C. Green, William Ward, William Walsh,
Orlando D. Robbins, Owen Hitchins, or a majori-
ty of them, be and they are hereby appointed
Commissioners, with authority to establish a bank-
ing institution in Frostburg, by the name of the
Miners' Bank of Frostburg, the Capital Stock of
which shall consist of one hundred thousand dol-

lars, in shares of fifty dollars each, and which
Capital Stock may hereafter be increased to two
hundred thousand dollars, if it should be deemed
expedient by the President and a majority of the
Directors of said Company. And the said bank-
ing institution shall be and is hereby incorporated
with all the privileges and franchises of bodies
politic and corporate, and the said Commissioners,
or a majority of them, shall appoint the time for
taking subscriptions to the stock, for choosing
Directors, and for putting the Bank into opera-
tion.
