require license from the owners and keepers of
hacks, carts, wagons, drays and every description

town; also from auctions, stores, hawkers and

Sec. 32. And be it enacted, That the said Cor-
poration shall not issue any device, token, note,
certificate or evidence of debt to be used as cur-
rency.

Sec. 33. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and Acts
conflicting with this charter are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 78.

AN ACT to change the time pf paying the State's
donation to the Harford County and Darlington
Academies, from annual to semi-annual pay-
ments.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section three of an Act to re-
peal an Act entitled " An Act to add a new Sec-
tion to Article twelve " of the Code of Local Laws
of Harford County, entitled "Schools," relating
to the Harford County Academy and to the Cokes-
burg or Abingden Academy, and re-enacting the
same with amendments, relating to the State do-
nation to the Harford County Academy, passed
January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, Chapter one hundred and eighty-three, he
and the same is hereby repealed, amended and re-
enacted to read as follows:

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said five
hundred dollars herein restored to the Harford
County Academy, and which was heretofore paid
annually, shall be paid to the said Academy in
semi-annual payments of two hundred and fifty
dollars each out of the Academy fund of Harford
