The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick county to subscribe to the stock of
Turnpike Companies.

The hour of 12 noon having arrived,

Mr. Meekins submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January, 19, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to proceed to count the ballot cast yesterday for State Trea-
surer.

By order,

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.

Which was road, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage :

BY THE SENATE,

January 19, 1870.
Gentlemen, of the House of Delegates:

We have received the message of your Honorable Body,
proposing to proceed to count the ballot cast yesterday for
State Treasurer, and concur therein

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read.

The tellers oa the part of the House, Messrs. German,
Cameron and Streett, having iu charge the box containing
the ballot cast by the House on yesterday, then proceeded
to the Senate Chamber.

Mr. Hoblitzcll moved that the House take a recess for
twenty minutes.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot (the rules being suspended)
submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Boards of County Commissioners of the
several counties of the State be, and they are hereby, re-
quested to communicate to this House, as soon as practicable,
copies of all accounts rendered by the Sheriff, Clerk of the
Circuit Court, Register of Wills, and State's Attorney, for
fees or other charges against their respective counties ; also,
all accounts for local printing for and during the year 1869 ;
