The Journal of yesterday was read.
The hour of 12, noon, having airived, being the time
agreed upon between the two Houses to proceed to the elec-
tion of three. Police Commissioners for Baltimore city,
Mr. Hoblitzell nominated the present Board of Police Com-
missioners, Messrs. Lefevre Jarrett, James L. Carr and Wm.
H. B. Fusselbaugh.
Mr. Beck nominated Gen. Wm. H. Neilson,
Mr. McLane submitted the following message :

Gentlemen of the Senate :
In accordance with the arrangement entered into by the
two Houses, and in compliance with the law in such case
made and provided, we are now ready to proceed to an elec-
tion of Police Commissioners for Baltimore city, and respect-
fully solicit the presence of your Honorable Body in this
Chamber.
We have nominated on the part of the House, Messrs. L.
Jarrett, Jas, E, Carr, W. H. B. Fusselbaugh and Wm. H,
Neilson.
