nor, of Commissioners to settle the claims of the State against
the Government of the United States.

The House bill entitled an Act to provide for the cancel-
ling of stocks and bonds,
With the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 4, line 3, strike out the word "Treasury," and insert "the place where made payable."
Section 4, line 8, strike out all after line 8 to the word
"the," in line 12, and insert "not less than thirty days' no-
tice to the holders of such overdue debt, that on a day
named in said notice."
Section 5, line 4, insert after "certificate" "the meeting at
-at some future day."
