LAWS OF MARYLAND.
Board of Trustees has taken place for more than one
rear, whereby all of the aforesaid Trustees have
vacated their office and have become incapable of
acting as such under the Act aforesaid, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John S. Purnell, Robert J. Henry
John E. H. Marshall, Hillary R. Pitts, William D
Pitta, Cyrus L. Williams, Littleton D. Powell, John
R. Purnell, John T. Hammond, Levin L. Derrickson and Zadock P. Henry, and their successors, are
hereby constituted and appointed Trustees of Buck-
ingham Academy and Berlin Female Seminary
aforesaid, and all the property, real, personal or
mixed, and all the rights, privileges, franchises and
credits, of whatever description, which appertained or belonged to the aforesaid Board of Trustees, at the
time they ceased to hold said office, on account of
their failure to hold meetings of said Board, an
hereby vested in them as snch Trustees, as fully as
of no such failure or neglect to hold said meetings
had ever taken place.
SEC. 2. And he it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

Sale and
transfer.

CHAPTER 20.
AN ACT to make valid the sale and transfer by the
Union Bridge Turnpike Company to the Liberty
Jolmsville and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Com-
pany, of all that part of the road of said Union
Bridge Turnpike Company, from Union Bridge,
Carroll county, Maryland, to Daniel Wolfs in
Frederick county, and to vest the franchises of
said Union Bridge Turnpike Company, or said part
of said Turnpike Road, in the Liberty Johnsville
and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemby of
Maryland, That the sale and transfer by the Union
