SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the company hereby in-
|
|
 
|
corporated shall have power, with the consent of the County
|
|
 
|
Commissioners of Wicomico County and of the municipal
|
|
Right to con-
struct line,
|
authorities of any incorporated town or village, having con-
trol of the roads, streets, lanes or alleys along and upon
|
|
etc.

which its lines may pass, to erect poles and construct its lines
|
|
 
|
and to establish connection by telephone between any of the
|
|
 
|
towns, villages and hamlets in Wicomico County and between
|
|
 
|
any other points the said company may select and to establish
|
|
 
|
offices for receiving, sending or transmitting messages over
|
|
 
|
the routes of its several lines.
|
|
 
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the board of directors shall
|
|

of its business; but to sell or lease or otherwise dispose of

any of its property, rights, privileges or franchises, or to pur-
|
|

chase, hire or lease any other line or lines for the purpose
|
|
 
|
of making connections therewith or to connect with any other
|
|
 
|
line or lines in any manner whatsoever, shall require a two-
|
|
 
|
thirds majority vote of the stockholders after ten days' notice
|
|
 
|
has been given them.

|
Capital stock.
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of said
|
|
 
|
company shall not exceed two thousand dollars, and shall
|
|
 
|
be divided into shares of five dollars each, and that the di-
|
|
 
|
rectors are hereby authorized and empowered to proceed with
|
|
 
|
the business of the company whenever ten per cent, of the
|
|
 
|
capital stock shall have been paid in.
|
|
 
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
|
 
|
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for the sale of
|
|
 
|
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer in any part of
|
|
 
|
the district of Baltimore City bounded by Twentieth street,
|
|
 
|
Oak street, Twenty-fourth street, St. Paul street, Hunting-
|
|
 
|
don avenue and Guilford avenue.

|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
