treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended under the direc-
tion of said commission for the purpose herein specified, and the treas-
urer is hereby directed to pay all vouchers submitted and approved by
said commissioners, or a majority of them, in accordance with this sub-
title; that is, for cases, transportation, labor., etc., as well as the.neces-
sary expenses of the commissioners.

102. As soon as the said battle-flags have been obtained and cared
for as herein provided for, they shall be formally turned over to the
governor, who shall direct that the care and custody thereof in the
future shall be under the supervision of the adjutant general, and the
function of said battle-flag commissioners shall cease. The said com-
missioners shall serve without compensation, other than their neces-
sary expenses, board, etc., whilst on official business.
