1864, c. 135 adds the following:
93. Whenever a justice of the peace, for said
county shall issue a summons for a defendant resid-
ing in a different election district from the justice
issuing the summons, he shall transmit the papers,
in said cause, to some one justice of the peace in the
district where the defendant resides, who shall try
the same.

QUEEN ANNE'S AND KENT COUNTY RAILROAD.
1867, c. 316 repeals 1866, c. 165 on the same subject, and provides that a majority
of the commissioners of Queen Anne's county are hereby authorized and directed,
as soon as subscriptions for two thousand and twenty shares of the capital stock of
the Queen Anne's and Kent County Railroad Company shall have been made by
other parties, to subscribe ID behalf of said county for two thousand, and four hun-
dred shares of the said stock, and in payment of the said subscription to issue
bonds in the name of the county commissioners of said county, in such sums and
redeemable in such time or tunes within twenty years as the said commissioners
shall prescribe on the face of said bonds, and to sell the said bonds and apply the
proceeds of such sales in payment for the stock so subscribed for by them, and to
each of said bonds shall be attached coupons for the interest thereon at the rate of
six per cent, per annum, payable half yearly. That the said bonds shall be exempt
from county and municipal taxation, and that the faith of Queen Anne's county is
hereby pledged for the redemption thereof. That the said county commissioners
shall levy on all property subject to taxation for the ordinary expenses of the said
county such sura or sums of money as shall, in their discretion be necessary for the
prompt payment of the principal and interest of the said bonds, and shall provide
the mode and manner in which such payment shall be made, the said taxes to be
levied and collected as other taxes in said county are levied and collected. That
the said county commissioners are hereby authorized, at any time or times, to sell
or pledge the shares of stock which may be subscribed for under the provisions of
this act, or any part thereof, and to apply the proceeds of such sales or pledges,
together with the dividends accruing on such shares, to the payment of said bonds
or the interest thereon. That a majority of the said county commissioners are
hereby empowered to vote the stock subscribed for by virtue or this act, at any
meeting of the stockholders of the Queen Anne's and Kent County Railroad Com-
pany, in such manner and subject to such restrictions and conditions as the private
stockholders in the said company are or may be authorized to vote their individual
stock.
