This Indenture made the Second day of September in the Second year of theire Maties reigne William
& Mary by the grace of god of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queene defendrs: of the faith &c
And in the year of our Lord god one Thousand Six hundred and Ninety Wittnesseth That whereas
the Rt: honr:ble Cæcilius Lord Baron of Baltemore &c Annoq Dom: one thousand six hundred Sixty Seaven
by his Pattent Did then grant unto Edward Dickeson of Somr:Set County in the Province of Maryland plantr: all that
Parcell of Land Called Contention Lyeing in Anamessex river at the head thereof Containing three hundred acres
Since which vizt on the 30th: day of June Annoq. Dom: one Thousand Six hundred Sixty eight the said ~
Edward Dickeson and Elizabeth his wife by theire Certaine Deed duely executed & enrolled & remayning
amongst the records in Somr:Sett County Did allienate make over & Convey unto Edmund Beauchamp of
the Sd: County of Sommersett and to his heires & assignes for Ever The Said three hundred acres of Land more
or Lesse Called Contention Now This indenture further wittnesseth being Betweene the Sd Edmund Beauchamp and
Sarah his wife of the one part And theire Son Thomas Beauchamp of the other part out of the tendr
Love & Care that they the said Edmund and Sarah beares unto theire Loving Son Thomas Beauchamp &
espetially for and in Consideration of one Shilling money Sterling to them in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery hereof whereof and wherewith the Said Edmund & Sarah doe acknowledge themselves fully &
wholy Satisfied Contented & paid & thereof and of every part & parcell thereof Doth fully freely and absolutely
acquitt exonerate & dischardge the Sd: Thomas & his heires for Ever have given granted bargained Solld
enfeofed & Confirmed And doe by these presents the said Edm Beauchamp and Sarah his wife freely and
absolutely give graunt bargaine alien Sell enfeofe and Confirme unto him the Sd: Thomas Beauchamp
and to his heires a part or parcell of the above Sd: Tract of Land Called Contention to the exactity of one ~
hundred acres bounded as followeth beginning at a marked Stake in the Middle of of y branch next to A
feilld Commonly Called Patricks feild from thence running up the river of Anamessex to a marked red
oake Standing Close by the maine road damme being the Lower damme from thence North North East
