Somerset County in the Province of Maryland August y^e 6^th day. 1694. These are to Wittness that I Edward

Gold doe give and make Over unto my Daughter Mary: Gold aged two years the 22^th day of Aprill last past a

Browne Cow and her marke with the female encrease till she be twelve years old and afterwards to have both

the Male & female, with this Marke a Slitt in each ear & under bitted in each ear and a hole in y^e right ear

And I doe oblige my Self to look after these Cattell till she be Capable her Self, in Witness hereunto I have

as the sd Peter the Sixth day of August in the year of Lord 1693. at Monocan within the Jurisdiction of this Court

was indebted to the Said James in the Sum of One thousand One hundred Seventy & Six pounds of tobacco beeing

as well for Sundry goods & Merchandizes by the sd James to the Said Peter before that time Sold & delivered as also

for Severall Sums of tobacco for the Said Peter to Severall Persons by the sd James paid as by acco^t here in Court

Produced may appear And the Said Peter to the Said James in manner aforesd being indebted, did assume upon himself
