              Whereas I formerly Obtained Judgment against Ephraim Wilson for a Default Committed by his Deputy

              Martin Tranthram in Letting goe by his Consent Hannah Maynard being under execution for four

              Pieces of Eight at four Shilling & Six pence each or nine pounds Sterl. together with five hundred

              and two pounds of Tobacco Charges of Sute I doe hereby acknoweldge to have received from the

              said Ephraim Wilson full payment or Satisfaction for the said Judgmt as also three hundred &

              Ninety pounds of Tobacco for Evidence Dues in Court proved Since the Bill Cost given for the

              Wittness my hand this 7th day of May 1693 //                                          Edwd Greene

          


 

        Port Bowmares          These are to Certifie all whome it doth Concern that the three & [ ] twentieth day

                                           of September 1697 Came before us, the Chief offices of their Maties Customes in ye

                                           Port of [Bowmares] William Leggat master or Commander of the shipp or Vessel

                                           Called the Pinck Indeavor burther eighty Tons or thereabts mounted with noe

       -tand Evans                  guns, navigated with twelve men and Boys English built, and produced a Certifi[cate]

                                           and made oath that at Virgoo. he becamse bound unto his Maties use, on or about the

         Voybush                    thirtieth day of June Last with Condition that all Such Sugr: tobo: C[otton] Wool

                                           Indigo Indico, Ginger, fustick, or other dying Wood, of the Growth production

                                           or Manufacture of any English Plantation in America America asia or

                                           africa , as should be Loaden on board the Said Shipp or Vessell at any of the said

                                           English Plantations, Should be brought to the Some Port of England, Wales or

                                           Town of Berwick upon Tweed, and be there unloaden and Put on Shore the

                                           danger of the Seas only Excepted, and it is hereby further Certified, that there

                                           hath been discharged and landed out of the Said Shipp or Vessell within the afd

                                           Port Bowmares one hundred and ten hogsheads of tob in Casque, and twenty hhds

    Griffith Parry                  of Tobacco in bulck for which his Maties duties have been [here] Satisfyed &

     DCompt.                        paid, dated at the Custome house in the Seventh day of October in the Ninth

                                           year of the Reign of our Sovereigh Lord William King of England &ca. annoque
