Dear Brother       Coming from Curasau and on the West end of Hispaniola Lost our foremast by the Board So-

                            bore away for Jamaica and have got in a mainmast and am now bound for Road Island

                            there to fish out to the banks and [Loor^d] home being hard put to it for meat have [nor] but one

                            days Boyling on board I met with Capt ffrancis Clyer and got him to Spare me one bbl

                            of beaf I have bread and water on board for three months goods, pray pay to Cap^t Clyer

                             or order the Sum of five pounds on Sight I long dearly to See you aco from your loving
