The provisions of this subtitle creating the State Board of Veterinary Medical
Examiners and relating to the regulation of veterinarians and any regulations
promulgated under this subtitle are of no effect and may not be enforced after [July 1,
1991] JULY 1, 2001.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Tobacco Authority

FOR the purpose of continuing the Tobacco Authority in accordance with the
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (sunset law) by extending to a
certain date the termination provision relating to the statutory and regulatory
authority of the Tobacco Authority; repealing certain general powers of the
Tobacco Authority; and generally relating to the Tobacco Authority.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

7-201.1.

Subject to the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act, the provisions
of this subtitle and of any rule or regulation relating to the Tobacco Authority under
this subtitle shall terminate and be of no effect after July 1, [1991] 2001.

7-206.

(b) The Authority may:

(1) Possess and use a common seal;

(2) Sue and be sued in any court;
