CHAP 630.

for any other cause to be legally incapable of contracting, or
out of the county in which such property may be when such
property may be wanted, said company is hereby authorized
and empowered to acquire the same by condemnation, in the
manner set forth in section one hundred and sixty-seven, and
one hundred and sixty-seven A of Article twenty three of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Corpora-
tions," or any supplements or amendments thereto, instead of
in the manner set forth in section two hundred and forty-
seven of said Article twenty-three ; provided, however, that
if the same be situated partly in one county and partly in an
adjoining county, the said condemnation proceedings may be
instituted and carried on in either one of said counties with
like effect as if same were wholly situated in the county
wherein said proceedings are conducted ; but it is expressly
provided that the right of condemnation hereby granted to
said company or that it may otherwise have under the general

laws of this State shall not be construed to authorize it to
acquire in that way any of the lands, rights, privileges or
property in Cecil or Harford counties, in the State of Mary-
land, used, owned, occupied, appropriated, contracted for or
hereafter acquired by the Susquehanna Power and Paper
Company, whose charter was amended by the Acts of 1900,
chapter 248 of the laws of Maryland, nor any of the rights
of property or either of the other corporations mentioned in
and excepted from the provisions of the said last-named Act.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 631.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
257 of the Acts of nineteen hundred, entitled an Act to
repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 102 of the
Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, entitled an Act
to incorporate the town of Hyattsville, Prince George's
county, Maryland, and to create therein a governing body
of the name and style of the Mayor and Common Council.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Act entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments chapter 102 of the Acts of eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-four, entitled an Act to re-incorporate the
town of Hyattsville, Maryland, and to create therein. a govern-
ing body by the name and style of the Mayor and Common
