with the county road (known as Finzel and Pocahontas
road) northerly about six-tenths of a mile to the line divid-
ing Maryland and Pennsylvania, commonly called the Mason
and Dixon line, at a point where the said county road
crosses the said State line, said point being about one and one-
half miles west from the intersection of the .said State line
with the division line between said Allegany and Garrett coun-
ties, in the State of Maryland. (2) Route B, running from
Frostburg, Maryland, through Allegany and Garrett counties,
in Maryland, to the Maryland and Pennsylvania State lines,
known as the Mason and Dixon line, and which route is
described as follows: Beginning at a point in front of the
Gladstone Hotel, in the town of Frostburg, Maryland, where
the center of Water street intersects with the center of the
National turnpike road, now known as Main street, in said
town of Frostburg; and running thence with said Main street
and the National turnpike road through Allegany county
northwesterly about one and three-tenths miles to the dividing
line between Allegany and Garrett counties; and thence
through said Garrett county, and still with the said National
turnpike road westerly about one mile, then northerly about
one mile, then leaving the said National turnpike road and
with the county road northerly about one and one-half miles,
then northwesterly about two miles to the line dividing Mary-
land and Pennsylvania, commonly called the Mason and Dixon
line, at a point where the said road crosses the said State line,
aid point being about four miles west from the intersection
of the said State line with the division line between said
Allegany and Garrett counties, in the State of Maryland.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That within six months after the
election or choice of one of the aforesaid routes and the con-
struction of said line of railway the president of said company
shall file a plat of the survey of said line and a certificate
thereof for record in the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court
for Allegany county, and a like plat and certificate for record
in the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court for Garrett
county.
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That said company shall con-
truct its line of railway within the corporate limits of the
town of Frostburg under the direction and supervision of the
Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg, and said company shall
pay annually to the Mayor and Councilmen of said town for
the use of said municipality a franchise tax at the rate of
$100.00 per annum, payable annually in advance, the first pay-
ment to be made on the first day of January next succeeding
the date when said road shall be fully constructed and open for
