elsewhere, in which goods, wares or merchandise are sold to
the laborers and employes of said company, nor to conduct or
carry on any such business or to have any interest in the
profits of the same in Garrett county, nor to sell or barter any
goods, wares and merchandise in said county, for the use and
benefit of said company or wherein it may participate in the
profits of any such trade or business.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall apply to Garrett county only.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall lake effect
from the date of its passage.

To the Honorable the General Assembly of Maryland.
Under and by virtue of section 52 of article 3 of the Consti-
tution of Maryland, I hereby recommend the passage of a bill
authorizing the payment of the claim of Robert Moss and King
Brothers, for work done under the order of the Senate of
Maryland of 1906 in preparing and printing the proceedings
of the legislative session of 1906 in relating to the sale of the
State's Interest in the Washington branch, of the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad Company, to the said King Brothers to the
extent of fifteen hundred dollars, the sum mentioned in said
bill, and to the said Robert Moss to the extent of four hundred
dollars, the amount authorized in said Senate order, leaving
to the discretion of the Legislature the difference of two hun-
dred dollars between said Senate order and said bill.
AN ACT to pay the claims of Robert Moss, Secretary of the
Senate, and King Brothers, State Printers, for work done as
per order of the Senate of 1906 in preparing and printing in
book form proceedings of the legislative session of 1906 in
relation to sale of State's interest in Washington branch of
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.
Whereas the Senate of Maryland, at its session of 1906,
passed an order authorizing Robert Moss, Secretary of the
Senate, to compile and index; and King Brothers, State
Printers, to print and bind the proceedings of the General
Assembly, session of 1906, in relation to the sale of the State's
interest in the Washington branch of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company, to be paid out of the deficiency appropria-
tion for Legislature, session of 1.906; and
