AN ACT to allow, Thomas J. Hutchens, late
Sheriff of Calvert county, further time to complete
his collections :

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas J. Hutchens, late She-
riff of Calvert County, be and is hereby authorized
and empowered to collect all fees and claims, due
him as Sheriff, in the same manner and as fully,
to all intents and purposes, as if the original time
|

allowed by law had not expired, provided, That it
shall be the duty of the said Thomas J. Hutchens,
before he proceeds to execute, the property of any
person or persons, for fees or claims, in virtue of
this act to deliver to such person or persons
chargeable with the same, at least thirty days
previous to the levying of such execution, a fair
account, in writing, of the fees or claims,
demanded of him, her or them, and, an affi-
davit thereto annexed, that he bath not direct-
ly or indirectly received, any part thereof, or any
security or satisfaction for the same, more than
the credits given, to the best of his knowledge.

Sec. 2. This act shall take effect from the date
of its passage, and shall continue in force, for two
years and no longer.

teen of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
Queen Ann's county, defining the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace :

fine the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace, in
Queen, Ann's county, be added to article seven-
teen of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
