298) September 18.th 1758 Then Came the within named John Cooke before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses with the Negroes within Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Clement Hill Basil Warring and Henry Rozier their Heirs and Assigns according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed Acknowledged Before John Darnall Recorded 19.th September 1758 7 sides Ex.d This Indenture made the first day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty eight Between James Baldwin of Prince Georges County Planter of the one part and James Maccubbin of Ann Arundel County Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Baldwin for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by the said James Maccubbin the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and Sold and by these Presents doth bargain and sell unto the said James Maccubbin all that Tract or Portion of Land being part of a Tract of Land called Baldwins Chance lying on the North Side of South River Beginning at a Markt Maple standing at the End of the South fifty Six Degrees East line of the Land laid out for Charles Griffith and Running thence North fifty Six degrees West twenty five Perches thence North thirty seven and one half degree East one hundred and Ninety five Perches thence south seventy Eight degrees East ninety one perches then south thirty seven and one half degree West two hundred and four perches and thence to the begining Tree Containing One hundred and five Acres or Land more (or) |
