RESOLUTION 8-72 AMENDING

TOWN CHARTER OF
NORTH BEACH, MARYLAND

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Town Council of North Beach, Maryland,
that the following amendments shall be made to the Town Charter:

1)  Section 189.(4) is hereby repealed and re-enacted as follows:

189.(4) Councilmen shall be qualified voters
in the Town.

2)  Section 207.(22) is hereby repealed and re-enacted as follows:

207.(22) Any person who shall be a citizen of the United States of the age of
eighteen years or over who, on the day of election and continuously for a
period of three months prior to registration shall be the owner of at least one
thousand square feet of land in North Beach, whether such real estate be held
individually, jointly or as tenant by the entirety, and the husband or wife, as
the case may be of such owner or any citizen of the United States of the age
of eighteen years or over who is a legal voter in the State of Maryland, and
who on the day of election is and for a period of three months prior to
registration has been a resident of North Beach, Maryland, shall be a
qualified voter of the Town.

CERTIFICATION

I, the undersigned, as Clerk of North Beach, Maryland, hereby certify that at a
meeting on the 24th day of August, 1972, the Town Council, with 4 members
present, adopted the foregoing Resolution by the affirmative vote of 4 Councilmen,
said Resolution having been duly introduced on the 10th day of August, 1972.
