2364                                    MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

175. QUALIFICATIONS OF VOTERS.

(a) The qualifications of voters in Town Elections of Ocean City shall be as
follows: A voter, whether a man or a woman, must be: (1) a citizen of the United
States; (2) at least 18 years of age; (3) registered in accordance with the provisions
of this charter; and (4) one who, for two years next preceding the election, has
been and is, at the time of the election, a resident of the town of Ocean City,
having resided therein and having been domiciled therein not less than an
aggregate of twelve (12) months of said years, and/or one who, for one year next
preceding the election, has been and is, at the time of the election, assessed on the
tax books of said town with, and is the owner, individually or jointly with a
spouse, of real or personal property of the assessed value of at least One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00), and/or one who, for one year next preceding the election, has
been and is, at the time of the election, the owner, individually or jointly with a
spouse, of part of the capital stock of any body corporate, which body corporate
has been, for one year next preceding the election, and is, at the time of the
election, the owner of real or personal property of the assessed value of at least
One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), said corporate stock to be voted by a
stockholder of said corporation to be designated at the time of registration
hereinafter mentioned.

Resolved this 7th day of February, 1972, upon motion and carried unanimously.

AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER
OF THE TOWN OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND

I, Harry W. Kelley, Mayor of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, a Maryland
municipal corporation, being the chief executive officer of said municipal
corporation, do hereby give notice to the Secretary of State of Maryland and to the
State Department of Legislative Reference, that the Charter of the Town of Ocean
City, Maryland has been amended as follows:

1.  Section Amended - Section 175(d) - "QUALIFICATIONS OF VOTERS"

Complete text of resolution amending said section of said charter is attached
hereto. The date of the resolution is 21 February 1972.

2.  Referendum Election - There was no Referendum Election nor was there any
Petition for Referendum filed.
