WHEREAS, Twenty—five states participate in the Green
Thumb program; Maryland does not. It is urgent that this
situation change so that our senior citizens can enjoy a
meaningful and prosperous life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
the General Assembly urge the Governor to participate in
the Green Thumb program; and be it further

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Sunday Blue Laws
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to appoint a
commission to study the various Sunday Blue Laws in
effect throughout the State.
WHEREAS, The differing Sunday Blue Laws that are in
effect in the various subdivisions of the State have led
to confusion and in some cases have caused inequities to
the merchants of certain areas; and
WHEREAS, A uniform State law would simplify
