Election Code — Board Members

FOR the purpose of [[correcting]] renaming the title of
the head of the local election boards; and making
style changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 2—3(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-3 (a) of Article 3 3 - Election
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

2-3,

(a) Each member of the boards of the several
political subdivisions of the State shall receive an
annual salary of not less than the following amounts:

(1)    Allegany County; $1,080.

(2)    Anne Arundel County: $2,400.

(3)    Baltimore City: $5,000; [such salaries]
SALARIES shall be established in the annual ordinance of
estimates but [shall] MAY not be less than as provided
herein.

(4)    Baltimore County: The [chairman]
PRESIDENT of the board shall receive such annual
compensation as may be included in the county budget from
time to time but, in no event, to be less than $4,000
[per annum]. The associate members of the board shall
receive such annual compensation as may be included in
[said] THE budget from time to time but, in no event, to
be less than $3,000 [per annum].

(5)        Calvert County: $500.

(6)        Caroline County: [Chairman] PRESIDENT
$750; associate members $600 each.

(7)        Carroll County: $800.

(8)        Cecil County:         [chairman        $900.00]
PRESIDENT $900; associate members [$750,00] $750 each.
