(House Bill 449)

AN ACT concerning

Election Code — Registration Lists

FOR the purpose of requiring the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws to furnish copies of lists of
registered voters to certain persons if requested to
do so by a local election board; permitting the
State Board to certify such lists; and making style
changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 3-22(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-22(a) of Article 33 - Election
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

3-22.

(a) The Board shall furnish to any person
registered to vote in Maryland making written application
therefor, within ten days after [such] THE application
has been received, a certified copy, under their hands,
of the names, addresses and party affiliations, of all
persons registered in any precinct. THE STATE
ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS SHALL FURNISH SUCH
LISTS AT THE REQUEST OF A LOCAL BOARD. The method and
cost of reproduction of these registration lists shall be
determined -jointly by the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws and the boards. Any [such] application
must be filed at least [forty—five] 45 days prior to a
primary election and at least [thirty] 30 days prior to a
general election and shall be accompanied by cash or
certified check to cover the cost or estimated cost of
[such] THE list. Registration lists shall be certified by
the board OR THE STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION
LAWS as correct. Each application for a registration
list shall be accompanied by a statement, under oath, by
