DISTRIBUTE THE LIST TO THE APPROPRIATE LOCAL ELECTION
BOARDS. WITHIN TEN DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE FOR THE
FILING OF ANY REPORT WHICH IS REQUIRED TO BE FILED WITH A
LOCAL ELECTION BOARD, THE LOCAL BOARD SHALL COMPILE A
LIST OF EVERY CANDIDATE OR COMMITTEE WHICH FAILED TO FILE
THE REPORT AND SHALL SEND THE LIST TO THE STATE
ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Election Code — Substitute Board Members

FOR the purpose of providing compensation for substitute
members of local boards of supervisors of elections
under certain circumstances; and making style
changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 2-3(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-3(b) of Article 33 - Election
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

2-3.

(b) Each substitute member of the board shall
receive [a per diem] compensation for each DAY he
[actually serves as such,] SERVES AS A MEMBER, in an
amount [as shall be set from time to time] DETERMINED by
the county commissioners, [or] county councils, [of the
county] or the mayor and city council of Baltimore[, as
the case may be, except that such compensation shall not
be less than ten dollars ($10.00) per day]. IF A
SUBSTITUTE MEMBER ATTENDS ANY REGULARLY SCHEDULED
